Summary
PDF files are handled locally on the device unless the user chooses to share, export, or open them with another app or service.
1. Who we are
This privacy policy applies to PDF Reader, published under the Wibisana brand.
Contact for privacy requests: imam@wibisana.net.
2. Scope
This policy explains how the app handles information when you install, open, and use it. It should be read together with any in-app permission prompts and disclosures shown by the operating system or the app.
3. Information handled by the app
- PDF files selected, opened, edited, searched, shared, or exported by the user.
- Document metadata that may already exist inside selected files.
- App preferences such as theme, recent files, or reading state.
4. How information is used
The app uses selected files to display documents, search within documents, and perform user-requested document operations such as share, export, merge, rotate, or delete pages when those features are available.
5. Local storage
PDF processing is intended to happen locally on the device. Files are not sent to Wibisana servers unless a feature clearly states that upload or sync is required and the user chooses to use it.
6. Permissions
- Storage / media / file picker: used only to access documents or locations selected by the user.
- Internet: not required for basic local PDF reading. When included in the app version, network access is used only for disclosed features such as online help, update links, or other network-enabled functions.
7. Document sharing
When the user chooses to share or open a document with another app or service, the selected destination is responsible for its own handling of that document.
8. Sharing and disclosure
Wibisana does not sell personal data. Data may be shared only when the user chooses to share or export content, when required to operate a user-enabled feature, when required by law, or when necessary to protect the app, users, or services from abuse.
9. Data retention
Local app data remains on the device until the user deletes it, clears app data, uninstalls the app, or uses an available in-app delete/reset feature. Data sent through user-enabled external services is controlled by the user and the selected service provider.
10. User choices
- You can deny optional Android permissions.
- You can clear app data from Android system settings.
- You can delete, export, or share files only through actions available in the app or Android system UI.
- You can contact Wibisana for privacy or data deletion questions.
11. Children
Wibisana does not knowingly collect personal data from children through this app. If a child has provided personal data through a user-enabled feature, contact Wibisana so the request can be handled.
12. Changes
This policy may be updated when app features, permissions, or data practices change. The latest version will remain available on this website.
